To all who have wondered about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and our doctrines, I hope that this blog can be a forum for discussion and discovery. I am NOT an official spokesperson for the Church. I have, however, served in various leadership capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ for over 25 years including a full-time mission.
I am knowledgable about our doctrines and beliefs. As a Mormon growing up in southeast Texas, I had many opportunities to defend my faith and share it with my friends. Converting them was not my purpose, but rather to share the truths that I had learned through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Likewise, this blog seeks to share truth and correct understanding about Mormon culture and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We can disagree without being disagreeable and we can share truths in the spirit of learning without disparaging one another. Your questions, observations, and thoughts are welcome. I will not, however, be drawn into intellectual scuffles nor will I be contentious in my comments because I would like the blessing of heaven to be upon this dialog. I hope that we can come to see the similarities in our collective faiths and that there are more truths that we embrace together than there are points of doctrine that separate us.
